Early Times Report
Poonch, July 23: Youth Association for Service of Humanity and Nation (YASHN) today organized meet of volunteers where issues pertaining youth were discussed. Youth of the district Poonch discussed various issues of employment and development.
Addressing youth, Imtiaz Salaria-President YASHAN said that educated and unemployed youth of border district is facing severe discrimination. Firstly, they have to go to Jammu or Srinagar or outside state for higher education, after finishing education they have no employment opportunities. Jammu University has opened a camp office but building after decades still awaiting completion. Progress on Polytechnic College is going at snail's pace. Demands of technical education like nursing college are still pending.
He said that during Governor's rule development projects are cleared promptly and we hope that our demands of job oriented education like providing nursing college, training schools where courses on tourism and hospitality and horticulture could be offered. Such training institute could generate self employment in this area thus reducing dependency on government jobs. He also demanded that during this period tourism potential of Poonch should be promoted at national level.
Other development demands were also raised like completion of Drungli Nallah bridge connecting religiously important places like Nangali Sahab and Budah Amaranth Mandi, electricity is major problem in Poonch thus completion of 132 kv transmission line.
Drugs are spreading its tentacles in peerpanjal and many youngsters are falling in trap, enforcement agencies should create awareness and enforcement in this region. Youth pinned high hopes in administration ability of governor who is doing work without political bias and early redressal of demands.
Other who were present on the occasion included Farooq Tanha, Mudasir Bhukhari, Abrar Akhter, Asif Khan, Asrar Khan, Mohd Fayaz Diwan, Sanjay Kumar, Jaspreet Singh, Mohd Akram Naik, Asif Nishant, Rohit Sharma.
