| Two drug peddlers/addicts arrested with 7 gram heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 10: In continuation to the drive against drug menace, Police of Sub Division RS Pura achieved a success by recovering 07 gms of Heroine like substance and arrested two accused.
Police spokesman said that acting upon the specific information police party headed by ASI Ghulam Nabi established a naka at Seer Blah road under the jurisdiction of Police station RS Pura.
"During naka checking police party found one Zen car bearing registration number JKO1C-8899 on the way from Seer Blah towards RS Pura signalled to stop by said naka party", said spokesman adding that the driver of the car did not stop the vehicle at naka point and tried to flee away.
The naka party successfully chased the said vehicle and on questioning the driver of vehicle disclosed his name as Narinder Singh resident of Chak Prema RS Pura and his associate disclosed his name as Sunil Kumar resident of Puro Bhana, said police spokesman.
Spokesman further said that during their personal search 07 gms of heroine like substance recovered from the possession of the said accused persons.
In this regard, a case under FIR No.102/2018 under section 8121/22 NDPS Act has been registered at police station RS Pura and investigation of the case entrusted to SI Sudesh Kumar.
The arrest of the said drug peddlers/addicts made by police party under the close supervision of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar SHO RS Pura, DySP Sourabh Prashar-SDPO RS Pura, RC Kotwal-SP Hqrs Jammu and over all supervision of Vivek Gupta SSP Jammu. |
