Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 10: After being cornered by the mainstream politicians over the Article 35-A, separatists are trying to prove that they are not defending the Indian Constitution.
Soon after the so-called joint resistance leadership comprising Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and so-called JKLF chief Yasin Malik, described the 2-day shutdown in Kashmir against the attempts being made to scrap Article 35-A as "historic", the National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah tweeted that those who are defending Article 35-A are acknowledging that Kashmir's future lies with India.
Omar's statement left the Pakistan stooges red faced as they didn't know how to react. "Now they are claiming that Article 35-A is linked with the status of Jammu and Kashmir. Someone needs to tell them that J&K's status is clear that it's an integral part of India and no negotiations can be held on it," said a Kashmir watcher.
He said that as a face saving measure they are trying to raise another point that J&K's accession with India is "temporary."
Soon after Friday congregation prayers Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz took to the twitter and wrote that successive governments in New Delhi have steadily violated the condition of "temporal accession." Mirwaiz alleged that mainstream politicians in Kashmir "became willing tools" to eradicate those conditions negotiated during "temporary accession" in the past seven decades.
An analyst said that separatists have lost the plot and they don't know what they are selling. "They are only interested in shutdowns and protests. Separatists by supporting Article 35-A are proving that they have no objection to J&K's accession with India but they just want special privileges to stay."
He said that someone needs to ask these Pakistan stooges that during all these years they have been saying that they have got nothing to do with the Indian Constitution. "Now why are they trying to defend the same," he asked.
Earlier this week Mirwaiz and Malik met Hurriyat hawk Geelani at his residence in Srinagar and discussed the strategy to "safeguard" Article 35A. "By holding such meetings these Pakistan stooges are just trying to build pressure on business community, transporters and others to observe shutdowns whenever they call for it so that they can prove to their bosses sitting across the Line of Control that they are pursuing their agenda of destroying the economy of the Valley," the analyst said. He said that separatists are an "issueless" bunch of people and they have lost their relevance. By resorting to such tactics they are just trying to survive and ensure that they get their stipend from their bosses sitting across the LoC.
