SSP Kishtwar keeps transfer orders in abeyance

SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Incumbent SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Gupta today kept all the transfer orders issued by his predecessor in abeyance till further orders and has directed all the officials not to relieve them as well as directed them to perform their duties at the present place of posting.
As per the details available with Early Times, following the news item carried by the ET in today's edition as well as complaint lodged on the twitter handle of Governor N N Vohra and to other senior officers of the police, the directions in this regard were issued by the new SSP Kishtwar who will take the final call on the genuine transfer cases if any after the upcoming Independent Day function.
It is pertinent to mention that the outgoing SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary issued various transfer orders, including that of transfer orders and adjustment of 40 SPOs in various police post of the District vide order No. SPO/Dep/2018/10591-95 Dated 7-08-2018.

As per the police sources, beside these orders, several transfer orders were issued by the controversial SP Kishtwar who was transferred by the government over the allegations of corruption charges leveled against him by several people including by the family members of the deceased Javed Iqbal Malik, who was allegedly killed in police custody at Chatroo last month.
