Jammu, Aug 10 : A Director in one of the most vital departments in Jammu, who is going to retire on August 31,has effected to transfers and promotions in the Directorate.
Sources in the department alleged that these transfers and promotions are being done in lieu of money and in total violation of rules. In the spree of issuing orders for the transfers and promotions of different cadre employees in the Directorate, sources said that even the Governor's directions against attachments of any sort are also being violated. While elaborating, sources said that this Director is attaining age of superannuation on August 31 and before his retirement; the officer is leaving no stone unturned to misuse his official position. On pick and choose basis, scores of individual transfer orders are being effected daily and monitory considerations behind issuance of these orders can be well judged.
While issuing the transfer orders for adjustment of their persons at the\ choice postings, even directions of the Governor against attachments\ of any sort are being violated. In this regard, attachment of a blue\ eyed Section Officer is talk of the Directorate.
This Section Officer was transferred from the office of Director to\ Reasi district more than two months back but was not relieved from his\ place of posting by the Director. To adjust this Section Officer in the Directorate Complex, his transfer order was recently modified. As\ there was no clear vacancy in any wing of the Directorate Complex, the\ said SO was adjusted without any post, which means attachment in a wing of the Directorate, sources explained. Similarly, the Director is also issuing orders of individual promotions of some blue eyed employees without vacancy thus creating a chaos like situation for his successor. |
