Kathua, Dec 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Sunil Kumar organized Sports Mela for the youths of block Dinga Amb at Government Higher Secondary School Sallan
During the event 240 players of all 9 Panchayats of Dinga Amb participated in Volleyball and Kabaddi.
Earlier, the Open Sports Mela was inaugurated by Senior Lecturer (Vice Principal) Rita Sharma in the presence of DYSSO Sh. Sunil Kumar, Zonal Physical Education Officer Ganesh Dass, activity in charges Kuldeep Singh, Dharmendra Singh, Hargopal Sharma and punches and sarpanchs of the block including Reena Roy, Kabala Singh, Surendra Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Anita Devi, Maan Singh, Angrez Singh.
The DYSSO Kathua welcomed the players and audiences and briefed about Sports Mela which is organized by the Department to encourage the Youth of area to take part in a Sports activities.
Vice Principal Rita Sharma congratulatedthe people of Dinga Amb Block to arrange such type of Mela. The winners and runner ups were awarded with trophies. |
