| Children groups of Samba villages trained on child protection | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 29: Around 110 members of children groups from ten villages of district Samba were trained on child protection and child protection legislations during one day workshop organized today at Tawi Conference Hall Udheywala Jammu.
The workshop was organized by National Development Foundation in collaboration with Directorate of ICPS J&K with the funding support from the European Union.
G.A. Sofi State Mission Director ICPS J&K was the chief guest whereas Amit Bhasin SSP Security and Shakuntla Devi were the guests of honour. Other present on the occasion include Rajiv Khajuria Founder Emeritus National Development Foundaiton/ Member Selection cum Oversight Committee, Arti Sharma Chief Functionary NDF and others. Neha Gandotra Chief Operating Officer NDF andParvinder Singh Programme Manager NDF were the resource persons during the workshop.
Khajuria while interacting with the children apprised them about various structures at village, district and state level for protection of the children. He asked the members of children group to identify the vulnerable children in their areas and link them with Village Child Protection Committees and other structures for their protection and rehabilitation. |
