12/29/2018 10:37:13 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Dec 29: Vessu Welfare committee initiated by PM package employees held demonstration today against the government and district administration Kulgam for allotting the flats of Kashmiri pandits to some councilor in Vessu area of Kulgam, South Kashmir. The flats were allotted to Kashmiri pandits through Prime Minister Package.
Sunny Raina, President Vessu camp said that there are 1400 employees living near the camp out of which only 400 employees have been provided accommodation still thousands of employees are living in rental bases. And some employees are residing under vulnerable conditions.
He added that return and rehabilitation process has failed miserably during last 8 years. But still employees had high hopes that 5 new buildings were coming up in Vesssu area and every PM package employee hoped for their adjustment in that package. But, their hopes were shattered due to the biased district administration order to provide flats to political persons.
Sunny alleged that the government is allotting the accommodations to government forces, political parties and to some other parties. And, is thus, sabotaging the return and rehabilitation process. The PM package employees are now demanding the revocation of this biased order immediately or otherwise employees would be forced to take serious step on the path of agitation.
