| Dr Karan Singh slams BJP over "false promises" | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 1: Former Member of Parliament and Senior Congress leader Dr Karan Singh today slammed Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) for several false promises which were not more than jumlas. He was addressing a public rally of NC-Congress in which a large number of workers, leaders as well as common masses were present.
"The work on holy river Devika was not done for the last five years but before elections, they just laid foundation stone, which was merely a political gimmick", Dr. Karan Singh said, adding that demonetization broke the back bone of small business man as well as common masses, while unemployment was at its peak.
"Where is black money, not even a single rupee came back", he castigated BJP and assured that Congress would provide equal justice to three regions Jammu , Kashmir as well as Ladakh as people wanted empowerment of all three regions.
Dr Singh while seeking support for Vikramaditya Singh in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls, Congress was the only Party which unite all religions and not divide masses and ensure equitable development in the three regions.
"The most vivacious characteristic of this party is its uniting abilities which are exactly opposite to that of BJP which never misses an opportunity to divide people on various accounts including religion", he added.
Dr Karan Singh said that it was the Congress in 1971, which divided Pakistan and created Bangladesh but Congress never used it for political gains as the BJP has been using the war hysteria. |
