Deceit, deception and devisiveness, thy name is NC

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 1: In yet another brazen attempt to hoodwink innocent people, NC vice President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah said on Monday that if people vote for him, he will take up demand for separate Prime Minister and President for Kashmir.
"Modi said in an interview that by 2020, we will repeal article 35A. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had threatened us that Article 35A and Article 370 will be removed, but Jammu and Kashmir is not like the other states. Other states became a part of India without any conditions. We made conditions. We did not come for free. To maintain our identity distinct, we entered certain things in the Constitution. We said our identity would be ours, we will have our own law, our own flag. At that time we also had our President and Prime Minister, and we will bring that back," Omar said while addressing a rally in Valley on Monday.
He also promised that if voted to power, he will bring back demand of separate Prime Minister and separate President for Kashmir.
However, one wonders where was Omar and his party till now when it enjoyed the power for more than three decades.
People are questioning Omar over his bizarre remarks, asking why his grand father and NC founder Sheikh Abdullah didnt resurrect the post of PM and President and after the 1975 accord, humbly assumed the post of Chief Minister. On Internet, Omar is cornered over the demand with netizens asking him why even after NC came to power again in 1977 didnt restored the post of PM and President and also why the party was silent when it won polls in 1983, 87, 96 and 2008. "This is nothing but a hypocrisy at its best. Omar has nothing in his kitty to tell to the world and not is finding refuge in such vague and monstrous claims," says a netizen while reacting to Omar's statement.
Meanwhile, there were also voices of concern heard that why Omar as the leader of his party didn't reprimand his LS contesting candidate Akbar Lone for seeking support from the militants that too on record so that he would win the polls. "Omar should have dropped him from the fray but unfortunately, that is not happening and what we are seeing is Omar trying to befool people in the same way as used to be done by his grandfather. His grand father used to sell green handkerchief and Pakistani salt to the people for 23 years while promising them Rai Shumari. (Plebiscite). After becoming Chief Minister, he peevishly termed his past akin to political wanderings. Deceit and deception is what NC is known for," reacted another netizen to Omar's statement.
Meanwhile, just two days ago, NC's LS candidate for Baramulla, Akbar Lone in open sought help from the militants so that he could win the polls. "I know Omar and Dr Farooq would be angry, but I want to tell you 'tik tik' wala (terrorists), I am talking about you today, when I'm nothing. Tomorrow when I will win, I will talk about you and your cause more - what has happened to you? Why will you go to my workers' place? Why will you harass him? Then he won't vote for me, which means sending BJP candidate to parliament, one who is against your Kashmir cause," NC's Baramulla Lok Sabha candidate Akbar Lone could be heard as saying in a video that has gone viral.
