| Expenditure Observer inspects check posts laid by FS team | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 1: To curb the use of money power and to provide level playing field for contesting candidates, Expenditure Observer, D K Srivastava today held meetings with AROs of Hiranagar and Billawar assembly segment regarding implementation of guidelines of ECI in connection with maintenance of expenditure details of the candidates.
During his visit the Expenditure Observer inspected the check posts laid by SST, VST and FS teams. He instructed the team members to conduct search and seizure as per the guidelines of ECI and keep a check on illegal distribution of cash and liquor by keeping proper vigil on the vehicles.
He further instructed the team members of Expenditure Monitoring Committee to keep close eye on election related meetings to check the violation of model code of conduct during election, and was asked to videograph all the vehicles in and around such meetings with registration numbers so that the expenses of the party and candidates can be properly maintained.
During meeting with AROs, the Expenditure Observer directed all the officials to adhere to the guidelines of model code of conduct for free, fair and smooth election.
Earlier, the Expenditure Observer also inspected the checking posts laid by the Expenditure Monitoring Team in Kathua assembly segment.
ARO Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, ARO Hiranagar, Pawan Kumar, SDPOs and members of Expenditure Monitoring Committee were present on the occasion. |
