Congress Manifesto Makes Dangerous Promises, Points on Jammu And Kashmir Made by Tukde Tukde Gang, Says BJP
4/2/2019 7:00:05 PM
New Delhi, April 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday hit out at the Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi over promises made by them in the manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Union Minister and senior BJP leader, Arun Jaitley, said the Congress manifesto makes 'dangerous promises that will break the country'. "This manifesto has ideas which would divide India," Jaitley said at a press conference.

Alleging that members of 'Tukde Tukde gang' are involved in the preparation of the Congress manifesto, Jaitley said the opposition party is trying to make amendments to the provisions like AFSPA, which even Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi never tried to touch. "Even though there was a drafting committee, but it appears that some of the important points have been drafted by the Congress President's friends in 'Tukde Tukde gang' when it deals with Jammu and Kashmir," Jaitley said. The BJP leader also slammed the Congress for promising to abolish the Sedition law. "Congress is making dangerous promises. Congress does not deserve even single vote for promises like doing away with sedition law," he said. Jaitley alleged that the demands being made by Congress make it look like they are trying to support insurgency and militancy in the country.
