Hurriyat hawk, dove trying to regroup their henchmen
Separatist handlers unhappy over 'poor performance' of Geelani, Mirwaiz

Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: The Government of India giving a breathing space to Hurriyat hawk, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and Hurriyat dove, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, seems to be not working as both the Pakistan stooges reportedly are once again trying to gather their henchmen to carry forward anti-national activities in Kashmir.
Sources told Early Times that Geelani and Mirwaiz met at Hurriyat hawk's residence at Hyderpora in uptown Srinagar and held a closed door meeting on Thursday. "Both the separatists are under pressure from their bosses sitting across the Line of Control to revive the so-called Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), which has become irrelevant after the arrest of the so-called JKLF chief Yasin Malik, who is cooling his heels at Tihar Jail in New Delhi," said an analyst.
He said that since the day Malik has been arrested Geelani and Mirwaiz have been issuing separate statements and are maintaining a distance from each other. "There are reports that the bosses of the Pak stooges sitting across the Line of Control are unhappy over Mirwaiz and Geelani not sharing a common platform. Separatists being unable to enforce shutdowns and orchestrate street protests have annoyed their handlers sitting across the LoC," he added.
Insiders revealed that on Thursday activists of Hurriyat Conferences led by Mirwaiz and Geelani held separate meetings. "It seems the meetings were held to tell the second rung activists to come out of their shells and carry forward the pro-Pakistan propaganda so that the terrorists supported by it are able to carry out the subversive actions in the Valley," they added.
A Kashmir watcher said, "The National Investigating Agency (NIA) acting tough against the Hawala dealers and blocking the routes of illegal money transfer have led to many henchmen of Mirwaiz and Geelani group leave these Pakistan sponsored separatist parties. The crackdown against Jamaat-e-Islami and the JKLF has also led to improvement in situation in the Valley."
He said, "The major concern for the security agencies at present is to tackle the terrorists active in the Valley. Since January this year more than 100 terrorists have been eliminated and efforts are on to make Kashmir terrorism free. The hundred percent success rate can be achieved by reining in all the separatist elements, including Mirwaiz and Geelani. They cannot be allowed to call the shots."
He said that the government should maintain pressure over the Pak stooges and if they try to regroup they need to be dealt with severely. "The government cannot allow them to hold meetings and form a new strategy. They could be dangerous," the Kashmir watcher added.
