Jharkhand scored 170 for loss of over 4 wickets on day 1

Jammu, Jan 3: Only 50 over's were played in a Ranji Match between Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand, where latter scored 170 for the loss of four wickets. The match is being played
Jammu and Kashmir came into match after playing three matches, winning two and one draw.
Earlier Jharkhand won the toss and elected to bat first. Kumar Deobrat and Md Nazim had a good first wicket partnership where both the players added 71 runs partnership, before Abid Mushtaq broke the partnership.
MD Nazim was next to go on the score or 78 runs, he was caught by Abdul Samad on deep mid wicket as Abid Mushtaq pitched one on a good length. Then it was the Utraksh Singh and Suarabh Tiwary that kept the score board ticking taking the score par 150 runs.
Suarabh Tiwary remained not out on 43 runs on day one stumps. For Jammu and Kashmir, Abid Mushtaq took three wickets and Mudhasir took one wicket. Jharkhand team scored 170 runs in 50 over's with a run rate of 3.40 runs.
Parveez Rasool continues to remain on bench while Aquib Nabi is playing instead of Rohit Sharma.
Jharkhand is currently placed second in the Elite Group C with 16 points in three games.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir team had defeated Uttarakhand by 253 runs in the first match Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Dehradun. While in the second match Jammu and Kashmir had won the game in the last day thriller against Maharashtra at MCA Cricket Stadium, Gahunje, Pune.
In the third match bad lights spoiled four day Ranji Match, where Assam and Jammu and Kashmir got one points each despite Jammu and Kashmir scoring mammoth in the first innings.
Jammu and Kashmir is currently placed 4th in Elite Group C with 13 points in 3 matches.
