Now ousted PDP leader improves ties with former banker close to NC
1/4/2020 12:49:00 AM

Early Times Report

Srinagar Jan 3: With political activities having geared momentum ahead of the prospective Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, a businessman-turned-politician who was ousted from the Peoples Democratic Party, has started improving ties with a former banker who is seen as close to the National Conference.
Sources said the ousted PDP leader has been nowadays enjoying good relations with the former Managing Director of the J&K Bank.
The former banker who was seen as a close aide of the Abdullahs now looks even closer to the ousted PDP leader.
Sources said the two often hold deliberations with each other presumably with regard to the political developments in Jammu and Kashmir. “Something important is cooking up in their deliberations,” said a source privy to the development.
Sources said it was the ousted PDP leader who had volunteered to improve ties with the NC aide.
Interestingly, the NC had denied the former PDP leader any position in the party though he had been trying the same after having been shown the door by Mehbooba Mufti around a year ago.
Sources said the ousted PDP leader is trying hard to rope in as many faces as possible for “show of strength before the corridors of power in New Delhi.”
The said leader has already been active in Kashmir as some of his close aides including in-laws have been “released from house arrest and are busy with the political activities.”
The ousted PDP leader is claiming strength of around six faces from Kashmir for the Assembly elections likely to be held in the middle of 2020.
It is pertinent to mention that the Lieutenant Governor has already hinted at the timely Assembly elections in the erstwhile state where President’s rule was imposed around a year ago.
Despite repeated attempts, the businessman turned politician or the former banker were not available for comments.
