Situation of Gangyal has become similar before 2002 in BJP rule : Satish Sharma
1/3/2020 10:28:27 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 3: Former chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader Satish Sharma visited the streets of Gangyal Ward 56 Mohalla Bazigar, Gali Patrol Pump Wali, Sector 2 Ekta Vihar, Burmese street and heard the problems of the people on Friday.
Local residents told Satish Sharma that the Burmese street in Ekta Vihar had road work initiated during his time, after which, after 6 years, there has been no coal tar on the road, this is the condition of the street on petrol pump and Bazigar locality.
On the road, very deep pits have been formed, in which the drains are flooded, due to which two-wheeler drivers are suffering every day.
Ward residents said that the sanitation system in the area has also collapsed.
After listening to the problem of people, Satish while talking to the media said that the situation of Gangyal Ward 56 has become similar before 2002 in the BJP rule, he said that after visiting the ward today, it is not felt that the area which During our tenure, we made a model ward by making all round development, the condition of the same ward has become like a backward rural area under BJP rule today.
He said that after seeing this area, it does not seem that it is a ward of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Drains have been choked in the wards and there are piles of filth all over the place and local councilors claim that they have made the ward dustbin free. Satish said that he would soon meet the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation and demand from him that he should visit himself and solve the problems of the ward as the work in ward has become pick and choose.
He has also demanded from the commissioner that how many sanitation workers are working in the ward should also be investigated because the BJP workers have been appointed as supervisors in the ward who do not see supervise sanitation system but their salary every month from the quota of the corporation is definitely being paid.
