JKSAC holds meeting, highlights pending demands

POONCH, Jan 3: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) held a meeting of DP's of 1947 from POK at Dak Bunglow, Poonch under the Chairmanship of Rtd Principal Trilok Singh Tara, President District Poonch and deliberated upon in detail about the all issues as well as demands concerning their long awaited final settlement.
The participants in the meeting while extending new year greetings to Lt Governor GC Murmu appreciated his endeavor to bring back normalcy and prosperity of Union Territory of J&K and urged upon him to provide remaining 4% quota of reservation to wards of DPs in services and technical institution of Union Territory of J&K to undo the injustice, being done to them for the past seven decades and redesign a comprehensive a road map for their one time settlement as per the JPC Report.
Interacting with the participant DPs in the meeting, Gurdev Singh, State President, stressed upon Lt Governor to review the controversial order issued in favour of a particular class of migrants by substituting a paragraph in Class-III of Rule-21 of reservation rule vide SRO-321 dated 27th May 2019, wherein without ascertaining the real status of this particular class of migrants the reservation benefits have been allowed to them under the categories of backward areas, LoC, and IB.
