DDC Doda chairs bankers meeting, reviews CD ratio

DODA, Jan 3: District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today reviewed Credit Debit ratio of banks besides chairing District Level Review Committee meeting of officers of banking and civil departments to discuss the achievements against the targets of banking sector. It was informed in the meeting that up to 30th of September banks have extended a total credit of Rs 255.12 crore in favour both under priority as well as non priority sector's of economy during the FY 2019-20 up to 30th September 2019 thereby achieving 51.28% of the ACP target, and the CD Ratio of district has been increased by 8.39% and stands on 46.87%. DDC directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards priority sectors to achieve set targets in Annual Credit Plan besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 46.87% to national target of 60%. DDC directed the bankers to ensure 100% coverage of eligible farmers under KCC whereas agriculture officer was directed to organise awareness camps to sensitize the farmers about benefits of schemes. While reviewing the grant of education loans the DDC was apprised that banks have sanctioned 345 cases with an outstanding of 427.22 lacs upto the quarter under review. He asked the respective banks to organise special camps for the students across the district to aware them especially about education loans. Later DDC also unveiled the booklet of Potential Linked Credit Plan 2020-21 of district Doda prepared by DDM, NABARD Doda to the tune of Rs 447.91cr for Doda. The meeting was attended by ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani, LDM SBI,LDO RBI, Cluster head JK bank, District Manager SC ST and OBC development corporation, GM DIC, Dy Director Employment, CAO Doda, Dy Director Sheep Husbandry, DSWO, AD Planning, besides by the manager's of respective bank branches and officers of concerned departments.
