JAMMU, Jan 3: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today asked the Deputy Commissioners of snow bound districts of Jammu division to submit requisition of snow clearance machinery required in the districts for snow clearance.
The Div Com passed these directions while chairing a meeting with Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division to take stock of snow clearance machinery requirements in their respective districts. The DCs of snow bound districts apprised the Div Com about the availability of snow clearance machinery in their respective districts while also apprised him of requirements.
Div Com asked them to upgrade the existing machinery for smooth clearance of roads during heavy snowfall.
The Div Com directed DCs to send requirement of different kinds of snow clearance machinery which includes snow cutter, tractor mounted machines and others required in the districts for snow clearance during snow falls. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Mechanical Engineering Department, Gagan Jyoti, Deputy Director Planning, Chaman Lal and other concerned while Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban attended the meeting through video conferencing. |
