11/23/2020 11:52:48 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: The constitution of the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration or PAGD has seemingly triggered a “rebellion of sorts” in its key constituents, including the National Conference, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Peoples Conference. Sources said the leaders of the PDP and the PC have rebelled against the top leadership of their respective parties for having been given mere four and two seats respectively for the ongoing District Development Council, and other polls, whereas NC leaders have questioned why even five-six seats were given to their rivals. Sources said the rebellion within the PDP is so open that some of the leaders are contesting elections against the National Conference candidates even in Srinagar. Sources said the PDP has been unable to make its contestants from Rawal Pora area of Srinagar withdraw from contesting elections against the NC candidate. Sources said the PC leadership on the other hand has questioned that if the party did “much better than PDP” in the previous Parliament elections, what was the nee...

DDC elections:
11/23/2020 11:52:36 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: Keeping in view ‘revolt’ in some constituencies BJP has put onus on the senior leaders to ensure victory of party’s candidates for District Development Council (DDCs) elections in their respective areas. This decision has taken after getting reports that some senior leaders are supporting rebel candidates as some ‘outsiders’ have been nominated as party’s official nominees by ignoring genuine workers. Highly placed sources said that many senior leaders were annoyed over distribution of party mandates in the DDC elections because their loyalists were ignored and new entrants were given mandates. “There is feeling among leadership that annoyed leaders ...

MOHAMMAD SARFARAZ EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Despite circulars in place, there are scores of doctors who have remained posted for years together in many hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir and they have never been transferred from one place to another, due to best reasons known to the higher authorities. According to sources, the transfer policy of the health department clearly states that a doctor should have a minimum tenure of 2-3 years at a certain place, but it seems that the circulars have been put on shelves. “In many parts of the valley including from north to south Kashmir scores of doctors have been overstaying for over ten years now, and they are enjoying their plum...

Cong makes direct attack on BJP; indirectly targets ‘partners’ NC, PDP
11/23/2020 11:51:28 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: Congress on Monday directly attacked BJP but made an indirect attack on its ‘partners’ National Conference (NC) and PDP for sharing power with the Saffron Party in Kargil. Led by NC, in the Kargil Hill Development Council the only BJP member is also indirectly supporting the Council which is also supported by PDP. As BJP at national level has stepped up attack on Congress for, what it alleged, supporting ‘anti-national Gupkar Gang’, the Congress today exposed the Saffron Party for its duplicity on sharing power with NC and PDP. Congress questioned double standards of the BJP, as “the party is sharing power with PDP and NC in the Kargil Hill Coun...
