More senior PDP leaders to quit party
11/23/2020 12:05:34 AM
Early times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Despite visit of party president, Mehbooba Mufti to placate the annoyed lot, many senior PDP leaders from Jammu are going to quit the party in coming days. Feeling ‘suffocated and humiliated’ by communal elements who have virtually hijacked the party, these senior leaders have decided to resign from the PDP to save their dignity. “It is not possible to work in the present scenario because party leadership is listening only to communal elements who avail every opportunity to humiliate those who worked with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, wishing anonymity, a senior PDP told The Early Times. “Many senior leaders are going to quit the party”, he said and added that instead of pursuing the visionary and secular agenda of Mufti Sayeed the incumbent leadership is following communal agenda just to address one constituency. Pertinent to mention here that three senior leaders of the PDP had resigned citing Mehbooba Mufti’s “actions and undesirable utterances”, reports said on Monday. The PDP leaders TS Bajwa, Ved Mahajan and Hussain Ali Waffa, had re...

DDC elections: Has Cong high-command mortgaged party to Gupkar Alliance in J&K?
11/23/2020 12:05:29 AM
Early times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Even as BJP has pressed all its resources to win District Development Council (DDC) elections, its arch rival Congress appears to be fighting these polls casually-thanks to the attitude of party high-command. Unlike BJP high command which already has given assignments to Union ministers for these elections, Congress central leadership has no time to devise strategy for DDC polls. On the condition of anonymity, a senior Congress leader told The Early Times that it appears that the high command has mortgaged the party to the Gupkar Alliance because not even a single leader from Centre has so far inquired about preparations of the J&K unit for DDC pol...

Influential cop’ chairs business meetings in Srinagar!
11/23/2020 12:05:15 AM
Early times Report Srinagar, Nov 22: Even as the Police Stations are expected to prioritize improvement of relations with the area inhabitants, a police official posted in Karan Nagar locality here, has been busy holding meetings with businessmen, including those who have allegedly grabbed government land. For the last six months, the Karan Nagar Police Station has been holding numerous “police public meetings.” But what observers can perceive is that such meetings were mostly related to interactions with the business community. 11/23/2020 12:04:52 AM
Early times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Detection of one more tunnel on International Border (IB) has put question mark over functioning of the Border Security Force (BSF) in guarding the border. It is widely believed that terrorists killed at Ban Toll Plaza on Thursday had managed to sneak into this side through that tunnel. “It seems terrorists involved in the Nagrota encounter used this 30-40 metre long tunnel as it's a fresh one. Politicians played with future of youth: Posts advertised in year 2006; written test after 14 years
11/23/2020 12:03:28 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Recent notification issued by the Service Selection Board has exposed casual approach being adopted by the previous democratic governments in providing employment to the educated unemployed youth of J&K. Written tests for the posts which were advertised in the year 2006 were held on December 20 this year. Ironically the posts were advertised 14 years back but successive governments failed to conduct written tests because most of the ministers in the democratic elected governments had encouraged backdoor appointments to provide employment to their relatives and blue-eyed boys. Ironically these posts were advertised when PDP was running a government ...
