CPWD spends crores for BJP's poll propaganda PM Modi's Maha Rally 2/4/2019 11:53:37 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 4: The Union government has allegedly misused government funds in crores for Bhartiya Janta Party's Sunday "Maharally" at Vijaypur, which was merely a poll-propaganda of the party. Moreover several government projects, proposed to the constructed through the public funds, were also e-inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the stage of BJP's political rally. Sources informed Early Times that Central Public Works Department (CPWD)- a Union government agency-was allegedly asked to make all the arrangements for the BJP's political "Maharally". "The estimated cost of the poll-propaganda's Maharally was in crores and all the cost was incurred by CPWD, which is engaged in the construction of infrastructure for AIIMS, IIM, IIT", sources said, adding that the total cost of above mentioned projects runs in several thousands of Crores and it was not a big issue for CPWD to utilize a few crores.
