Doctors' Kins adjusted in Pathology Deptt | Favouritism goes unabated in GMC Jammu | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 31: The head of the Government Medical College Jammu, allegedly adjusted the kin of an influential doctors in Pathology department of GMC Jammu under the Governor rule by converting seats from 'Reserved Pool' for the non-clinical department.
Pertinently, the GMC Jammu is always known to favour blue-eyed, be it faculty members, registrars, demonstrators or even paramedics and nursing staff and these blue-eyed are usually ones who are either politically connected or favourites of a weak administration.
Such things have some degree of sense during political government when politicians encourage these things for some political mileage but during Governor's rule that is invariably known for administrative efficiencies without political mileage; if such things happen it raises eyebrows and doubts against otherwise efficient and non-corrupt governors rule.

Jammu, Jan 31: Around Rs 27 Crores have been withdrawn as material costs on the name of political activist, relatives of the RDD employees, children and wives and newly elected Sarpanch Asif Hussain.
Reports said, around 40 lakhs have been withdrawn in Dachan block in the name of Asif Husain , who was recently elected Sarpanch.
Besides a hefty sum has been embezzled by the influential persons under MGNREGA in Marwah block, reports said.
It has come to fore that around 19 Crore have been withdrawn in the name of around 2-3 dozen people including children of the RDD employees.

SRINAGAR, Jan 31: Jammu and Kashmir government borrows crores of rupees from the Centre annually to meet its expenditure component.
Official documents of the Finance Department reveal that Rs 7531 crore liabilities increased since last year. In the earlier years too, the liabilities have increased over Rs 7000 crore in each fiscal. The figures reveal that Jammu and Kashmir's liabilities have swelled to Rs 68,000 crore.
