Poonch Admin sends Dy Director to quarantine centre | Relatives targeting ET correspondent on social media for publishing news | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 23: Taking cognizance of the news item published in Early Times with title “Dy Director ranked officer reaches Poonch from Kashmir; remains unchecked”, the Poonch Administration today sent the alleged officer, who had returned from Kashmir to Poonch district via Jammu and hid his travel history to escape quarantine period, which is mandatory due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Sources told Early Times that the officer was so irresponsible that he didn’t disclose his travel history to save himself from quarantine period despite the fact that Kashmir has become hotspot of COVID-19 cases putting the his life as well as the other including his family members atgreat risk.
“The most shocking part of this incident, which has come to fore that even the concerned authorities including police of various districts, who knew that he had been travelling didn’t inform the Poonch administration about the travelling of alleged officer,” they said further adding that by hiding information about the officer, the concerned authorities have committed punishable crime.
