Early Times Report Jammu, June 26: The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Jammu has escaped punishment despite facing serious allegations of misappropriation of funds, because he allegedly enjoys patronage of Director General (DG) of the Rural Development Department (RDD). According to sources, a complaint was made by Nissar Ahmad, then Under Secretary to government, against the then ACD Samba (now in Jammu), to DG, RDD Jammu, seeking enquiry into misuse of funds vide No.RD&PR/Estt/Gaz/Comp/116/2018, dated 22-11-2018. But no action was taken. Sources said the ACD Jammu, during his posting as BDO Bhalwal allegedly withdrew huge cash for hiring private vehicles on bogus bills from Jammu as well Kashmir-based agencies. Sources informed that around Rs 1.58 lakh was withdrawn on the basis of fake bills from travel agencies.
