Asif Iqbal Naik Jammu Mar 14: To create history in the election of civil Non Gazzatted civil Secretariat employees elections, Ghulam Rasool Mir group make clean sweep in the elections and wins all the 26 seats including 26 seats of executive members defeating its rival Rouf group with heavy vote margin. As per the list of the winning candidates published by the General Administrative Department (GAD) issued vide No. GAD(Adm) 107/2014-I dated 13-03-2015, Ghulam Rasool Mir was elected as President with 564 votes secured by him in the election held on 10-03-2015 at civil Secretariat Jammu and Srinagar respectively. Beside Ghulam Rasool Mir, Suresh Bedi was elected as Vice President, Thanna Ji Butt as General Secretary, Farooq Ahmed Lone as Secretary, Parvaiz Ahmed Khan as Publicity Secretary and Ghulam Nabi Tantray as Treasurer. In addition to the above six posts, Ghulam Rasool Mir group wins all the 20 seats of members of executive body which include Aftab Ahmed Dobi, Ajay Kumar, Ashia Khaliq, Dev Jyoti, Farida Khan, Fida Hussain, Gulzar Ahmed Malik, Harjeet Singh, Irshad Ahmed, Kulbeer Singh, Manzoor Qadir, Mohammad Yousaf Moon, Muzafar Nabi, Satish Kumar Manhas, Sheikh Abdul Latief, Shiraz Ashraf, Syed Bilal Ahmed, Taha Hussain, Tanveer Hussain and Vikas Sethi. The order in this regard was issued by Imteez Kacho Under secretary to Government GAD. While talking to "Early Times", Vice President Suresh Bedi termed the victory as employees victory and said that the aim and objective of newly elected President Ghulam Rasool Mir and other elected representatives is to work for the betterment and welfare of over 4000 civil Secretariat employees. He said that Mir group has come forward for social service with the aim to serve the civil secretariat and to restore the credibility and dignity of the employees working in the civil Secretariat. "We believe in system and would always work in upholding the democratic right/secularism in the highest seat of the government" said Suresh Bedi. He thanked the civil secretariat employees for voting Mir group to power for better future and security of the employees. |
