Jammu Mar 14: Doda Police claimed to have arrested an absconding self styled HM Commander allegedly involved in various terrorist activities including killing of five Village Defense Committee (VDC) members in 1998.. As per the details available with "Early Times", Doda police today arrested Bashir Ahmed Lohar (46 yrs) code Bilal son of Ghulam Mohammad Lohar resident of KuddharTehsil and District Doda. Police sources said, "The said ultra had joined terror outfit HM in April, 1995 and reportedly had crossed over to Pakistan in the year 1996 and after obtaining weapon training in Jangal Mangal training camp, Muzaffarbad in POK he returned back in 1997. "He remained continuously active in Kapran, Anantnag, Banihal, Doda and Kishtwar areas till December, 2008, before he was arrested by Udhampur Police on 23/12/2008, police sources said adding, "after facing trial in different cases, Bishar was bailed out on 24/04/2014 by the District Sessions Court Kishtwar." "The accused HM cadre was operating as Divisional commander of HM outfit during his terror activities, sources said. Sources said, "Since then he was evading arrest in case FIR No. 115/1997 u/s 302,307, 395 RPC, 7/27 A/A of Police Station Doda which is sub Judice before the court of Principal District and session Judge Bhaderwah." Sources further added besides various terror related cases registered against him in different police stations, Bashir along with other militants of HM outfit was involved in killing of five VDC members of Kuddhar while injuring four others critically. However after investigation, the challan of the case was produced before the court of law on 28/05/1998 followed by warrant u/s 512 Cr.PC issued by the court against the him and others after he jumped over the bail granted to him by theCourt in Kishtwar . |
