Jammu, June 12: The apprehensions that state government does not looks into KPs problem and vice versa latter do not respond to state's call to disscus their issues was laid to rest after BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed , and Kashmiri Pandits' delegation met at New Delhi to discuss the issue of return and rehabilitation.
Talking to Early Times BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar, who led the delegation said in meeting that held at JK House, New Delhi was exhaustively focused on the multi-dimensional issues on the return and rehabilitation of Pandits and contained serious thought process required to devise the strategy.
"Discussing the minute details, it was strongly believed that a comprehensive roadmap needs to be devised taking into the consideration all aspects of the return and a series of dialogues be initiated within the community to get a holistic feedback of KPs return," said Ambardar. He said before going into this process, an inhibition that reigned over the community and state government remaining in a deadlock over the issue needed to be dispelled which was successfully broken in the meeting which besides Ram Madhav and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was attended by various KPs groups and intellectuals drawn from state and country.
Amabardar also clarified that 'new beginning' taken up through this meet had no connect with the earlier statements regarding giving up of a township to KPs or setting up of colonies for them as emphasis was laid down on comprehensive devising of a roadmap for the return. "The roadmap would be given to the state government which would act as a catalyst between the community's demands and the central government for safe and secure returns of the pandits to the valley," informed Ambarda, r adding till now no 'concrete' proposal' has come from Kashmiri community in this regard. He said that deliberations between the state government and community would remain engaged taking in view all acceptable parameters and alternate ways would be devised so that a final roadmap may come up. Regarding Prime Minister's relief package for return of KPs which approved 3,000 supernumerary posts to Kashmiri Pandit migrants, Ambardar said that it does not constitute under the ambit of the 'new beginning' initiated during the recent meet, but was considered as a part of the initiative of the composite dialogue.
