Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: Anger is brewing among activists of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM)-youth wing of BJP, against attitude and style of functioning of the party ministers in the coalition government. Activists warned that such attitude of party ministers would be proved disastrous for BJP in coming days.
Credible sources said that during their recent meeting with BJYM national president and Member Parliament Anurag Thakur, activists of BJYM complained against party ministers. They complained that instead of listening to the grievances of the common masses or genuine BJP workers, majority of the party ministers are hijacked by power brokers.
Seeking intervention of Anurag Thakur, annoyed BJYM workers alleged that during the last three months BJP ministers have been exposed before the people due to their misdeeds and arrogant attitude.
Highly placed sources said that a senior activist of BJYM openly told Anurag Thakur that power brokers, who were earlier associated with either Congress or National Conference, have hijacked party ministers. He especially singled out some ministers who have been completely working under the influence of some businessmen. The activist, who is dedicated BJP worker, regretted that what to say of addressing their problems, some BJP ministers have even refused to recognize him.
"One can gauge the situation after occupying the chairs of power, certain Ministers does not pay heed to the deputations of general public led by BJYM leaders be it state level or Mandal level. Besides, MLAs too ignore and behave as if we are political threat to them," pointed out another BJYM leader before BJYM national president Anurag Thakur and added that "During general elections, we worked day and night and even motivated youth belonging to Congress families to vote in favour of BJP and candidates selected by Prime Minister Narinder Modi. After having thumping majority in general elections, we kept and maintained the tempo up-till Assembly elections and scripted a history in winning first time 25 seats from Jammu Province. But now it is a very unfortunate situation and that those who have been enjoying powers on our hard work in the field are just ignoring the genuine and local demands like that of power and drinking water supply".
"If it will continue for another few months, you will see humiliating defeat of party and its candidates in Municipal Polls, where party has always displayed excellent results despite remaining in opposition over the years in J&K," voiced another group of BJYM while interacting with Anurag Thakur.
Reliable sources revealed that Anurag Thakur has assured the BJYM activists that their genuine points would be taken up to party high command.
