Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 24: 'Shardanjili' a patriotic group song was sung by activists of Viraj Kala Kendra in connections with Independence Day celebration. Savita Bakshi Additional Secretary of J&K Academy of ARt, Cultural and Languages Jammu was the Chief Guet and Anita Sharma, SP Crime was the Guest of Honour. Many NGO and school teachers participated in the programme namely Jain Taurni Manch, Jain Sanskrit Manch new Era Environment, Shiksha Niketan, D.T.M Convent Higher Secondary School, Ratnal (Bishnah) and Model Academy. Raj Bharti the President of Viraj Kala Kendra gave a brief resume of Kendra. She also threw light on the importance of the day. Further Savita Bakshi the Chief Guest in her Presidential address lauded the role of women who participated in freedom struggle and appreciated the role of Viraj Kala Kendra for conducting such programmes. Others who were present on the occasion include Dr. Rita Jitendra former secretary JKAACL, Shashi Thakur DSP, Sunita Bangotra Principal DTM Convent Hr. Sec. School, Nirmal Padha, Usha Chuni and many others.
