As per Des Raj Bhagat, Arvind was born after 11 years out of his wedlock and his mother visited at so many shrines and temples and observed fasting before he was born. Elder among two brothers and a sister, Arvind did his masters in computer--- before he joined a private insurance company and established his office at Wasser Kuleed. His father said that on Eid day, Arvind left the house in the morning for his office and after doing some work at office; he left for the house of his sister for shifting her to hospital for delivery of a child.
He said that while passing through petrol pump at Kuleed, some gunmen shot him from behind with volley of gunshots as a result of which he died on spot. He said that after not reaching at his sister's home, the family members started searching for him and finally they came to know about his death. He said that his son is very cool in nature and never indulge in any wrong doing.
He said that he was befooled by the police and administration and was forced to sit along with the dead body of his son in a mortuary for several hours. He said that it was only after the intervention of BSP All India President and MP Mayawati, DC Kishtwar and SP Kishtwar contacted him and shows their ignorance about the death of his son. He said that police and administration also used delayed tactics in conducting the postmortem of the dead body of his son and also handed over the dead body next day evening.
He said that his son was innocent and seeks justice for him. He demanded arrest of the culprits involved behind the murder of his son. He also slams former MoS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo for his failure and inaction leading to the death of his son. He also blames administration and police for their failure in implementing the curfew as a result of which the enemy of peace not only vandalize the public property, but also murder his son. He said that any compensation given by the Government cannot fulfill the loss of his son and the agony and trauma through which the entire family is passing since the day of the death of his son Arvind Kumar.
