Directed 4 video albums, short film on public awareness; now plans to direct horror movie

Urges Govt to develop J&K state to meet Bollywood aspirations

Before the onset of militancy in the state, Jammu and Kashmir was the home of Bollywood directors and first choice of Film Producers and many successful Hindi movies like Roti, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Kati Patang and others were picturized at beautiful landscapes of Gulmarg, Pahalgam and inside beautiful Dal Lake of Kashmir. During militancy turmoil, Kashmir which remains buzzed with Bollywood shootings lost everything to the bullets--- militants' burn down cinema halls, video parlors -- In order to control the situation, security forces occupied these Cinema halls and with the passage of the time, the normalcy return back in valley and now the Bollywood once again started looking back towards Kashmir for shooting of films. Only last year renowned Bollywood director late Yash Chopra filmed his movie "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" featuring Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma and the film was declared as grand success at Indian and foreign box office. Born on 11th of November 1993, Aditya Tickoo resident of Mattan Anantnag now settled at Janipur Jammu is the 2nd among two sons of Maharaj Krishan Tickoo and Urmila Tickoo has love for music and Bollywood from his childhood day. Now Aditya has produced a short film, four songs in last two years.
After making short film namely "Help, The Final", Aditya is now eying to direct a horror movie. This 7 minute 45 second short film is inspired on last year Delhi Gang Rape case and through this movie, young Aditya tries to generate public awareness urging the people to help accident and rape victims.
Through this short film Aditya tries to give massage to the people of the nation to come out for the help of rape/accident victims in the need of the hour. Inspired from wide spread protest in wake of aftermath Delhi gang rape, Aditya decided to make this short film that give massage to the people of India to help.
"When she was thrown out, no body dear to help her--- when she died people came in protest and raise slogans" is the message of this short film to its viewers. Aditya wants to tell the people to always be ready for help as and when someone needs it badly.
While taking about his upcoming horror film, Aditya said "The script of the film is ready-now I am looking for the financial help so that the shooting for the film could be started at an earliest". He said that he is planning to explore the landscape and forests of Gulmarg and Pahalgam in his film. He said that this horror flick is based on story of college life that during his college trip trap in horror web and said that people will enjoy once the film hit the silver screen.
At the age of 18 years, Aditya started his debut in the year 2012 with musical album Yaaran De Yaar with two songs sung by him, while Rap was given by his friend Iqbal Singh of Jammu.
Riding on success of first album, Aditiya did another album song Chandigarh Ja Ke Munde Ash Karan Gae sung by himself. In this album song Rap was given by Fezan Khan and Music by Subhdeep Singh both from Jammu. Subhdeep Singh also worked in a Bollywood movie "Daag the spot" and Dogri film "Geetiyan".
After that Aditya directed a shot film "Help" in the year 2013 with local start cast, in last two months Aditya directed two songs "Thoda Hasja" and "Oh Meri Jaan". In song Thoda Hasja Aditya casts S.S Loni who acted as well as sung the song while in "Oh Meri Jaan" Rahul Pandita and Vishal Pandita give their voice and music was given by Vishal and Ankur.
After being denied help by the government, Aditya uploaded his work on website "youtube" and within hours of uploading several viewers hit the song on youtube. Aditya's parents and grandparents shifted from Kashmir to Jammu during a holocaust of 1989, when the valley situation drew Kashmiri Pandits out of valley. Running a video shop in Mattan village of Anantnag District of valley, Aditya's grandfather and uncle was forced to close the shop after militants open threat to Cinema hall and video shop owners. During the course of the militancy, several cinema halls, video shops were put on fire by mob as well as by the militants. Badri Nath Tickoo, Aditya's grandfather said that his passion for music and movies is in his blood. He said that since childhood Aditya remain passionate towards music and said that he was happy to see that his grandson has decided to choose his future in Bollywood industry.
Urmila Tickoo, proud mother of Aditya said that she wants her son to be a successful in his life. She said that though she was happy for his son’s passion towards music and movies, but added that she always advised her to complete his study. An average in studies, Aditya’s mother wants him to concentrate on his study as well and qualify 10+2 examination with good marks. She said that she wants her both sons to lead a successful life. She said that after one year of marriage, her family migrated to Jammu from Kashmir valley and has no idea of composite culture of Kashmir.
Aditya credited his success to his family and said that his grandparents, parents and brother Rahul Tickoo is great inspiration behind him. He said that his family support for him plays an important role in his success.
"My family never stop me to chase my dreams--- in fact they boost me and always offered me helping hand as and when I am in need of the same" said Aditya. He also credited his success to all his friends and supporting staff that acted or played its part in his four songs and short film.
Aditya feels that state of Jammu and Kashmir could be developed as film city that could provide jobs to hundreds of unemployed youths, besides can generate revenue for the cash stiffen state. He said that time has come for the Jammu and Kashmir Government to think positively towards establishment of its own full flagged film industry that meet the Bollywood aspiration where the shooting for pictures, serials and other short films could be held. He said that the state government must identify the sites that can attract Bollywood and other industries, beside the foreign directors to choose Jammu and Kashmir for film shootings. He said that he was looking forward to the state government help, particularly from Tourism Department to felicitate them at the time of shooting of his upcoming horror movie.
