Using anti PDP propaganda, Omar provoking community
NC competing with PDP in garnering KP votes

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 6: As campaign is in full swing for three Parliamentary seats of Kashmir as well, wooing Kashmiri Pandits as crucial vote bank in many segments has also started, this time NC is seeing it more as threat in competing with its rival PDP on that score. This became more than evident today when none other than the Chief Minister Omar Abdhullah himself showed what could be viewed as desperate attempt to garner KP votes using hate PDP strategy at his party's best tool. More than telling the community what NC could do for it in ameliorating their sufferings, Omar chose to remind the KPs what PDP thinks about it what its leadership had in mind in the past.
That everything is fair in the electoral battle in taking on rivals is acceptable albeit only to some extent. When hitting out rivals strategy is followed merely in provoking the voters instead of drawing comparisons on facts, it becomes unpalatable and is seen only as a desperate move to get close to line where rivals stand in terms of consolidating votes from any community in the ongoing electoral battle. There is no denying the fact that PDP has been consistent and serious in wooing KPs for along time, perhaps much before the campaign started for the LS polls with its Patron trying to sustain rapport with them. Apart from having activated its minority cell , the PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed himself has been constantly meeting delegations and even visiting places of KP concentration.PDP's strategy remained such that it first tried to build a confidence and trust among the brethern and visits of the leaders to various places, including camps is focussed on accruing electoral benefits of that long drawn exercise.
However, NC as always is doing things on a reverse note. Even though its attempts too are aimed at garnering the votes of the community, Omar Abdhullah is faltering once again in reminding the community what PDP president had on mind about them when facilities under PM's package programme were discussed in high level meetings. Omar has chosen the expressions like deceit, sadistic pleasure, crocodile tears ...etc for PDP leadership in describing the mind set of party towards the KPs. Omar said all this while addressing a gathering of KPs organised by its minority cell. Omar tried to empathize with the community while he resorted to hate PDP rhetoric trying to say that PDP was not well wisher of KPS. There are, however, no takers for his provocative tactics, particularly for teh false anti PDP propaganda on temple Bill. Ironical, Omar even tried to befool the community in saying that while all other parties were on one page, it was PDP which was on the
other side over this issue. Everyone in the community knows that PDP supported the passage of bill in the House when NC and Congress enacted high drama and is trying to rake up anti BJP sentiments now even as BJP vote did not matter at all. The fact remains that NC has nothing to offer except resorting to rhetoric of dignified return under conducive atmosphere which is nothing but a misleading strategy.
