Omar criticises Mehbooba for close ties with Amit Shah
4/7/2014 11:39:41 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 7: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah apparently nervous on account of strong possibility of BJP coming to power and growing public support of PDP is trying to put the latter in the bad light before the former, in an effort to close the ties with the prospective BJP headed Prime Minister Office(PMO)
Omar in his series of tweets, after visiting Jagti migrant colony, had castigated the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti for allegedly dissuading PMO in improving facilities at the camp. He had tweeted that Mehbooba had allegedly told the PMO that if the conditions in the colony are improved, Kashmiri Pandits would not return back.
Fact remains that in the last five-year alone, only one Kashmiri family had returned to the Kashmir. It is in strong contrast to the return of many militants along with their families from across the border more so from the Nepal route after assumingly giving up guns. It shows how much sincere efforts have been made by the Omar Abdullah led coalition government to bring back the Kashmiri Pandits in the valley.
The important thing is that it was first visit of the Chief Minister to the Jagti camp. The fact is also that the NC tried to create a wedge between the people of Jammu region and the Kashmiri Pandits by bringing in Kashmiri Pandits Shrine Bill which seeks to create take control of the shrine managed by Dogras of the Jammu region.
Chief Minister, who has been busy on twitter and dress code, is getting nervous with the possible outcome of the elections where his party is most likely to get drubbing. To top it all he is more nervous as he has spew venom at the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Now, with poll surveys predicting resounding success for the BJP, Omar and his coterie has devised as strategy to projecting PDP has being anti-Hindu especially on account of Kashmiri Pandits both of which are important issues for the BJP. His strategy is to put him as a political person who is sensitive to the cause of the KP, read Hindus, and close ties with the PMO, which is the nerve centre of the central government and is likely to be headed by the Amit Shah.
