DB disposes of PIL regarding functioning of old SDH Bhaderwah | | | Jammu, Apr 7 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by one Ranbir Singh Manhas regarding functioning of old Sub Divisional Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar disposed off the above said PIL with the direction that the old hospital OPD and emergency services have been kept alive to the extent of providing first aid to the patients round the clock. After hearing Adv RS Kotwal for the PIL whereas Deputy AGs Neeru Goswami and Shaishta Hakim for the state, Division Bench after considering the submissions made at the Bar by counsel for the parties, is of the view that the respondent State has made endeavor to broad based the medical facilities for the citizens by constructing a new hospital while the old hospital OPD and emergency services have been kept alive to the extent of providing first aid to the patients round the clock. Division Bench observed that court cannot accept the request made by the petitioner once the OPD and emergency services have been kept alive in the old Sub-District Hospital (SDH) complex round the clock to the extent of providing first aid to the patients, the purpose of this public interest litigation stand achieved and with these observations Division Bench closed the proceedings in the PIL. |
