BARAMULLA, Apr 19: Eighteen candidates are in fray for 1-Baramulla Parliamentary constituency. Nine are Independent including a lady, one from PC and one each from PDP, BJP, BSP, JKNPP, GAP, and PRISM India and one from National-congress alliance. On Saturday eight candidates filed their nomination forms for Lok Sabha elections from North Kashmir's 1-Baramulla-Kupwara constituency before returning officer Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, at Deputy Commissioner's office complex Baramulla. The candidates who filed their nomination papers are Bashir Ahmad Gojerjagal of PRISM India, Ashiq Hussain Ganie ,Abdul Rashid Sheikh ,Nisar Ahmad Ahengar, Aga Syed Abdullha Hussian Moosvi ,Ulfat ,Mohammad Abdullha Chotwal as an independent candidates, and Ayaz Ahmad Sofi of Gareeb Admi Party. However ten candidates have filed their nomination forms before the deadline. They are J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) candidate Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah, Shareef Ud-Din Shariq of NC-Congress alliance, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Ghulam Mohammad Mir, People's Conference (PC) candidate Salam Ud-Din Bajad and its covering candidate Khurshid Ahmad Khan, and Peoples Democratic Party nominated Lok Sabah candidate for Baramulla constituency, Muzaffar Hussian Beigh have filed their papers. However there are around 1151744 Lac voters across Baramulla Parliamentary constituency which includes 606506 males and 545219 female electors. |
