Srinagar, June 11: The people of Ladakh instead of looking towards NC and Congress are eager to seek PDP membership.
According to reports some renowned families of Leh District known for their liking of NC and Congress are eagerly waiting to get membership of PDP.
"Here people call it Mufti Wave. Staunch supporters of NC and Congress are curious to join PDP and contribute in change wave,"Said Javaid Ahmad.
PDP membership drive which is on at District, Tehsil and Block level is evoking wide spread response among people and like NC and Congress Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) local units are also seeing themselves on back foot. The details reveal that PDP local leaders Advocate Tashi who is presently District president of PDP in Leh, advocate Abdul Khaliq and advocate Nasir Husain recently announced in media that their membership drive has crossed over thousands in many areas and keeping in view the overwhelming response they are receiving from people of all age groups they are sure that in near future it will be obvious to all that there is complete Mufti Wave in Leh District ahead of assembly elections.
Locals informed early times that like in Leh District, people of Kargil District keeping in Modi Wave which according to them swept all other parties across the country in recently held parliamentary elections, slogan of Mufti Wave which is gaining popularity with each passing day ahead of assembly polls is likely to sweep in Kargil District too and say good bye to the age rule of NC and congress parties in the area. "For the first time in my life I can hear people talking about PDP,its leadership etc and though it is not so popular yet in Kargil District but I can assure you that at least people are fed up of NC and congress and everybody is asking for a change this time." Said one local, Gulzar Ahmda of Kargil District.
