Jammu, June 11: Panic gripped the bordering belts of Rajouri and Poonch districts after landmines have exploded due to forest fire broke out along the Line of Control. "A devastating fire broke out yesterday from across the border and then engulfed several areas on this side including Balnoi area in Poonch, Sarole, Kalakote and Sunderbani belts of Rajouri," official sources here today said.
Several landmines also exploded due to the fire adding, "Army personnel and officials of Forest department are on job to control the fire, which is still continued along the LoC."
However, no loss of life was reported in the incident. |
