JAMMU, June 10: Laxmi Welfare Society Jammu has conducted a short term training programme on Skill Development Programme (Vocational Training) at village Sumb, Toph which was attended by a large number of locals. The programme sponsored by the Director, Composite Regional Centre, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India, Bemina, Srinagar, J&K was held with an objective to provide sensitization/motivation about skill development (Vocational Training) among persons especially with disabilities. Speaking on the occasion Kasim Bhookya, Coordinator of the programme disclosed that the purpose of this programme is to make socio-economic rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. He also told that after undergoing suitable skill development programme (vocational training) the beneficiaries are eligible to get loan facility from National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation for setting of their own business. S Surinder Singh Shingari, Ex- Municipal Corporator, Jammu along with other dignitaries also spoke about the various aspects of the said programme. |
