| Summer ‘swimming camp’ concludes at AFS | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 11: Children’s Summer Swimming Coaching Camp organised at Station Swimming Pool at Air Force Station Jammu by Air Force Station (AFS) Jammu from Jun 30 concluded on Thursday.
According to spokesperson a total of 37 children participated in the camp which was held with an aim to give the children an exposure to the basic swimming and life saving skills.
Air Cmde PE Patange, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu and Mrs Mamta Patange, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local) were the special invitees on the valedictory occasion held on Thursday. Special invitee while addressing the gathering emphasized on the importance of swimming as a life saving technique and encouraged children to participate in the similar camps to hone their acquired skills during the camp. The closing ceremony was attended by the distinguished guests from Air Force Station Jammu and parents of the participating children.
The ceremony culminated with distribution of gifs to the children by President AFWWA (Local). |
