Day light robbery: Police succeeds to nab all accused in Rs 22 lakh robbery
'Rajan Gupta of ITC company also arrested'

Jammu, July 11: Police today claimed to have solved the broad day light robbery on Thursday with the arrest of all the accused (including a company employee) who decamped with huge cash over Rs 22 lakh from employees of ITC Company at Nanak Nagar. Continuing late night raids following the disclosures of the two accused arrested yesterday evening the police team led by SDPO South Harjeet Singh under the supervision of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand managed to arrest one of the absconding accused Sunny Kumar son of Daleep Kumar of Jallochack and following his disclosures police raided a place at Greater Kailash and arrested Rajan Gupta son of Bodh Raj of Nanak Nagar Sec- 3 Balveer Kumasr alias Billa son of Gun Bahadur Kumar of Jallochak. Police spokesperson said that police team also has recovered a motorcycle, a sharp-edged weapon, baseball bat and an empty bag from a nullah at Domana area.
Police said that Rajan Gupta is happened to be an employee of the ITC company whose employees were looted and police further added that the arrested accused were already involved in many cases in different police stations Pertinent to mention here that in a broad day light robbery which took place at 11:30 am when Ashok Kumar and Sunil Kumar Arora both employees with ITC franchise in Jammu were on their way to deposit cash in Jammu and Kashmir Bank Nanaknagar Branch were intercepted by four youth on two motorcycles who sprayed chilli powder on them and snatched the cash bag containing cash over worth Rs 22 lakhs. Meanwhile police acting swiftly have arrested two accused persons who were nabbed by a police team led by senior officers and PSI Sushil Choudary presently posted at IC/PP Sainik Colony and recovered Rs 22 lakh following their disclosures. Meantime following their disclosures massive late night raids were conducted to arrest other accused including their kingpin.
