Early Times Report

Jammu, July 11: Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) has charged the coalition government for a conspiracy to delay the submission of so called package for refugees well in time to Union government drafted for one time settlement of DPs of 1947 from POK and other minor categories
According to press release, president Gurdev Singh condemned Pradesh Bhartiya Janta Party for their total failure to pursue the Union government for allocation of adequate funds in the Budget for the rehabilitation as the DPs have pinned their hopes on Narendra Modi government as per the commitment made in Election and instead kept the DPs again at the mercy of State Govt. While accusing the coalition partners particularly the Congress party in the state which always adopted indifferent attitude towards DPs and always shifting the blame / onus of the responsibilities to National Conference for not resolving the issue to mislead the DPs. He said that despite of DPs unconditional support, Congress always lacked political will to resolve this human issue and kept them in humor and hope by making false claims and promises and consider them as their vote bank and added that it is now a clearly an established fact that Congress and NC are both responsible for pushing DPs slowly and steadily in perpetual economic subjugation thus making their life miserable and pitiable. He urged upon Omar Abdullah and Revenue Minister Azaz Ahmed Khan to share all the details of the one time settlement package with DPs if they were sincere and desired so to resolve this issue once for all. Meanwhile, JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee has also condemned the Union budget.A meeting was held under the chairmanship of its president, Pt RC Sharma in which all members criticized the Union budget for ignoring the POK refugees.
The meeting was attended by Baldev Singh, Monika Sharma, Tilak Raj Sharma, Surrinder Singh, Gurdev Singh and Harmeet Singh.
