KISHTWAR, July 13: The Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on power headed by Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, today visited Kishtwar, Hasti, Drabshala, Bunjwah and inspect various units of the mega power project and sought information about the generation scenario.PUC inspects 390 Dul Hasti HEP, 850MW Rattle Power Project, 48MW Lower Kaalnai HEP and 15 MW Choudhary power project. During visit to lower Kalni, people complaint about non-payment of compensation to them. Chairman PUC Saroori gave on spot instructions to the DDC Doda to address these problems in a time bound manner and ensure speedy disposal of all the public related matters, beside directed the concerned officers to change the road alignment of the said road so that the affected people won't face hardship in future time. Saroori asked the Management heads, General Managers of the projects to initiate focused measures so that local people get benefitted from the Dul Hasti, Rattle Power Project, Lower Kaalnai HEP and Chowdhary project and enjoined upon the concerned officers for undertaking Local Area Development on priority. Saroori asked the JKPCC to complete earth work, mettling and shingling on 13 KM long Dunadi-Bunjwah road within a month times and stressed to complete 132 KV electric lines from Thathri-Gondoh-Kilhotran. Saroori along with the committee Members and officials also inspected the Dam Sites, Power Houses and Tunnels of all the 4 projects. The members of the Committee including Legislators, Mohammad Sharief Niaz, Charanjit Singh, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Syed Asgar Ali, and Sham Lal Bhagat, MD JKSPDC, Mehraj Ahmed Kakroo, DDC Doda Mubarak Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Imam Din, ALC Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, Executive Engineers of NHPC, General Managers of Power projects, Senior officials from JKSPC, NHPC, district and sectoral officers also accompanied the Committee Chairman PUC G M Saroori. |
