Alleged rape accused gets prize posting in Sheep Husbandry deptt | Minister says his will "Prevail" | | Sumit Sharma
Srinagar, July 13: Allegedly displaying misuse and abuse of administrative powers, the Animal and Sheep Husbandry administrative office has assigned a prestigious and public interface posting to a highly tainted official of the department against whom an FIR of rape stands registered at Pattan police station of Baramulla district. In its government order number 33-ASH of 2014 dated March 4, 2014, the administrative department of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department directed that Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Chaproo, incharge chief animal husbandry department, shall also look after the work of the post of joint director I&BP Zakura in addition to his duties till further orders on a stop gap basis, relieving Dr. Shamus-ud-Din Makhdoom, incharge director Animal Husbandry Department, of the additional charge. With the order becoming effective, resentment has started brewing among the employees of the department as the very person who stood at the serial number of 93 in seniority list, allegedly bypassing 46 other seniors, was elevated for being allegedly close to the Minister concerned. " While the employees of the 1980 batch are looking forward for their promotion, the juniormost person who is allegedly involved in rape and illegal confinement has been given the promotion ,which force the others to raise eyebrows", says aggrieved employees, adding, the Minister has been showering favours through prestigious assignments to this officer who stands charged with crimes under Sections 376 and 342 by the police at Pattan station Baramulla district. What is most shocking is the fact that the said official has been challaned by the police as per the official records for crimes committed under these sections of the RPC on 9-7-2002, they maintained" When contacted, Incharge Minister Nazir Gurezi said the officer has been given preference on seeing his dedication and efficiency, " I am not bothered about his personal life", the Minister said when asked about his involvement in the crime. |
