Ajat Shatru Sharma hails Cong decision of contesting on its own in Assembly elections | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, July 21: Former District President Youth Congress Kathua Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma hailed the decision of Congress Party to contest without any pre-poll alliance on all 87 assembly segments in J&K in forthcoming Assembly elections 2014. In his statement issued, Ajat Shatru Sharma said that the party cadre since long expressing their resentment to party high command from many years regarding the step-motherly treatment with congress workers by the NC leaders. Many party workers are also not in favour of giving full six years term to NC leadership rather they want rotational Chief Minister for three year term to each other. But unfortunately party workers feeling deceived from the coalition Government whereas the NC leadership always put hurdles in the path of implementing congress policies and programs. The implementation of 73rd & 74rd Constitutional amendment has taken about four and half years despite being continuously pressure from congress party and many more policies and programs as per state Congress manifesto are yet to be started by the Govt. In recent parliamentary elections the NC leadership also did only formality to support party candidates from Jammu and Udhampur seatwhich is proved from the defeat of congress candidates. |
