| RMSA, SSA teachers demonstrate against “non releasing of salaries” | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Jul 21: Teachers from within Kathua district under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) Kathua protested against the state government and concerned department for not releasing the salaries to teachers associated with RMSA and SSA schemes to streamline education system.
Raising slogans in support of their demands, the teachers led by S Parveen Singh, Provincial Secretary JKTF assembled at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and staged massive protest.
Addressing the protesting teachers, S Parveen Singh criticized the concerned authorities for not releasing the salary grants under RMSA and SSA. Highlighting the plight of teachers working under these schemes, he said teachers working under RMSA are without salary for last four months and under SSA for eight months.
Amar Nath Thakur questioned the government why the timely salary is not released under RMSA and SSA. He said if the salary grant under SSA & RMSA is not released before Eid & Raksha Bandan, the teachers will be left no option but to intensify stir.
Later a memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kathua requesting him to release salary before coming festivals.
Kuldeep Singh President JCC Kathua, Balbir Singh, Surjit Singh, Bishan Dass, Doulat Ram, Khajur Singh Mani Ram, Manohar Kumar, Mukand Lal, Rajni Bala, Sarita Devi and many others addressed the protesting teachers. |
