Refresher training programme for Civil Subordinate Judges held | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 31: In order to sensitize the Civil Subordinate Judges (Senior Division as well as Junior Division) in utilizing the provisions of amended Code of Civil Procedure, the Jammu and Kashmir State Judicial Academy organized a day long refresher training programme on "Impact of Amendments in the Code of Civil Procedure in facilitating speedy trial of civil cases" at Mominabad here today. The Refresher training programme was conceived by Justice M M Kumar, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir (Chief Patron, State Judicial Academy) and held under the guidance and supervision of Committee governing the State Judicial Academy comprising of Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar, Chairman and Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Member Suresh Kumar Sharma, Registrar General who is also Incharge Director of the State Judicial Academy.The Resource persons, District and Sessions Judge, Mohd Yousuf Wani and Farooq Ahmed Bhat, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shopian dealt at length with the Amendments in CPC. Wani discussed various facets of the amended provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and emphasized the need and utility of these amended provisions. He suggested some measures to ensure the timely justice in dealing with the civil cases as the basic purpose of these amended provisions is that civil litigation is concluded with promptitude so that timely results are obtained in redressal of the grievances of the litigants. The second resource person emphasized the use of time limit prescribed in the various amendments and not be benevolent in granting unnecessary adjournments. |
