ABVP discusses flood situation in state | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 9: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar held an emergency meeting at its state office regarding the current situation in the state due to heavy raining and floods for last one week. While addressing the meeting, Jammu Mahanagar secretary (ABVP), Aman Sharma said that the state govt. has failed to provide relief to the badly affected people. He criticized the government for not doing its efforts to move and save precious lives of human's from badly affected places by engaging immediately the rescue teams like SDRF and NDRF. He appreciated the role of Indian army who played an important role by saving lot of precious lives and providing all kind of basic necessities to the public by the helicopter and vehicles. In the meeting, Jammu Mahanagar Vice President (ABVP), Bahadur Singh demands that all tourists who where stranded in the valley be airlifted to Jammu and he further draw attention of the state govt. towards badly affected Jammu province where the condition of the people is also very bad. Due to which district Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar had disconnected by road and communication network. Vidyarthi Parishad demand's immediate relief and compensation to the affected people and a central monitoring committee be deputed for proper distribution of relief funds to the affected people. He said that the state govt. has totally failed to reach the actual ground at time. |
