JU launches Online Registration Return System | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 9: The University of Jammu today formally launched the new Online Registration Return System designed to procure the relevant information about candidates who have enrolled in the 1st Semester in the UG Programmes offered by the University of Jammu through its affiliated colleges. At a simple function, the Vice Chancellor, Prof M P S Ishar inaugurated the system which is designed to collect relevant registration information about students through the internet. This programme which has been custom-built by the Centre for Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (CITESM) for the Examination Wing of the University is designed to collect information in an error-free manner and is built to capture photographs as well as scanned signatures. This programme was necessitated by the fact that the University of Jammu has finally implemented the semester system in the Three Year Undergraduate programme and since examinations will be held every six months as opposed to annual examinations, the entire process needed to be accelerated. The present programme is designed to speed and eliminate many processes that slowed down the process or introduced errors, so that examinations are carried out swiftly and in an error free manner. This programme was first presented by Guneet Singh Sudan, Incharge Director, Centre for IT Enabled Services & Mgmt in a one day workshop held on 2nd September for the Principals of the colleges affiliated to the University of Jammu. |
