BGSBU teachers defer strike due to natural calamity | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Sept 9: Striking teachers of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) have deferred their indefinite strike following natural calamity in the State till 16 September and have again pressed on administration to mitigate their demand if they want the University to function smoothly. In a press statement, Mir Aijaz, President of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Teaching Association has said that whole state has been engulfed by natural calamity and their is huge loss of lives and property. He said that on humanitarian matter, they have decided to defer their strike till September 16, 2014. Mir said that his association has also condoled the demise of people who lost lives in the flood situation and also expressed shock over loss of property. However Association said that they are confronting large number of issues which remain unsettled in the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University as administration is no heed to their demands. The teaching fraternity of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has expressed disappointment with University Administration with regard to unnecessary delay in implementing of approval by Vice-Chancellor order no. |
